Daniel Valderrama, a 2009 Eastlake High School graduate, was selected Nov. 29 to join the U.S. Corp of Engineers upon his graduation from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. Valderrama is in his senior year at West Point, set to graduate in 2013.
