Issaquah magician Matt Wells has just returned from Las Vegas after completing the Masters Class at McBride’s Magic and Mystery School, operated by Las Vegas magic headliner Jeff McBride and acclaimed close-up magician Eugene Burger.

At just 10 years of age, Wells was by far the youngest of his classmates, many of which had come from all over the world to fine-tune their performance skills in the art of magic.

“Matt is the future of magic,” said McBride. “His devotion to the craft, enthusiasm and remarkable stage presence put him on the fast track to being one of the next great magicians.”

The Masters Class, the only one of its kind, focuses on the students and the performance of their magic.

Since his foray into the world of magic at the age of 6, Wells has performed at numerous events, and is a founding member of the Northwest Ring of Smoke, the region’s young magician club.

He was also named the 2008 Northwest Ring of Smoke Standup Magician of the Year.
