A fundraising event with flair and refinement, the Village Theatre’s Annual “On The Town” Auction and Gala event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, at the historic Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle.
Brad Goode, a KING 5 morning television newscaster, will perform duties as celebrity auctioneer at the event.
The black tie gala celebrates 30 years of achievements at Village Theatre and the ways in which it impacts the the world of performing arts, from Broadway to the world stage.
Held at the Olympic, Seattle’s top-rated hotel according to AAA and Condé Nast, event guests will enjoy an elegant four-course dinner paired with fine wines and both silent and live auctions. Some of the auction items include an exciting trip to New York for a stay at the famed Plaza Hotel — including backstage tour and tickets to Million Dollar Quartet on Broadway, a chance to make a once-in-a-lifetime appearance on stage in next season’s The Full Monty, a Jamaican BBQ for 20 by a Cordon Bleu-trained chef in your own home and a week-long stay at an Italian villa in Tuscany.
Organizers hope the fundraising event enable Village Theatre to continue to support Mainstage productions in Issaquah and Everett, expand the popular KIDSTAGE and Pied Piper youth education programs and development of original musicals through our Village Originals program.
Tickets start at $200 per person, with corporate sponsorship tables for 10 starting at $2,000. Sponsoring the Annual Auction & Gala is a strategic business move that allows individual companies to increase their visibility to a highly desirable demographic. Sponsors for the event include The Boeing Company, Continental Airlines, Greenfield Advisors, Holland America Line, MacDonald-Miller, US Bank, and Wells Fargo.
All event proceeds benefit Village Theatre. For more information and tickets, please contact Jessica Wright at 425-392-1942, ext 151.
