Motorists should prepare for street closures on Saturday morning, May 11, during the Mother’s Day Dash.

The following streets will be closed from 8-11 a.m.

12th Avenue NW between NW Maple Street and NW Gilman Boulevard

Rainier Boulevard from NW Juniper Street to NW Dogwood Street

NW Gilman Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 12th Ave. NW and NW Juniper Street.

The Mother’s Day Dash is a family-oriented activity to celebrate mothers and raise funds for the Issaquah Schools Foundation. The city has issued a special use permit for the race.

Runners will start at 12th Ave. NW and NW Gilman Boulevard, proceed along NW Gilman Boulevard to Rainier Boulevard N, and then return along the same route.

The event is expected to attract about 800 participants. Parking will be provided at Sports Authority and nearby parking lots.
