Nine Sammamish students from the Lake Washington School District were recently selected to participate in one of the National Association for Music Education All-Northwest performing groups or one of the 2013 Washington Music Educators Association All-State performing groups.

The students were selected from over 2,200 applicants for the high school groups and will perform Feb. 14-17 in Portland, Ore.

Jacob Berg, Eastlake High School, 2013 NAfME All-Northwest Mixed Choir; Emily Suter, Eastlake High School, baritone horn, 2013 WMEA All-State Concert Band; Alexander Wictor, Eastlake High School, baritone horn, 2013 WMEA All-State Concert Band; Sharon Heung, International School, violin, 2013 WMEA All-State Symphony Orchestra; Ivar Sanders, Inglewood Middle School, trombone, WMEA Junior All-State Baker Band; William Ronneburg, Inglewood Middle School, trombone, WMEA Junior All-State Rainier Band; Alexander Ronneburg, Redmond High School, bassoon, 2013 NAfME All-Northwest Band; Conor Spear, Redmond High School, tenor, 2013 WMEA All-State Symphonic Choir and Erica Li, Redmond Middle School, violin, WMEA Junior All-State Orchestra.
