Oct. 25

Pumpkin Patch Extravaganza: Trinity Tree Farm of Issaquah is holding a Pumpkin Patch Extravaganza Oct. 25. The event is a self-pick pumpkin patch with free hot beverages, kids train rides, kids hay rides, and other amenities. 14237 228th Ave. S.E. in Issaquah.

Nightmare at Beaver Lake: One of the most terrifying indoor/outdoor haunted houses on the Eastside – Nightmare at Beaver Lake – continues through Oct. 31 in Sammamish. $10 for family scare; $16 for full scare. Bring a canned good for $1 off. All proceeds benefit Sammamish Rotary Club’s charities. Free parking. Southeast 24th Street at 244th Avenue Southeast.

Oct. 26

Green Halloween in the Issaquah Highlands Grand Ridge Plaza: Noon to 4 p.m. 5K Run/Walk begins at 8 a.m. near Grand Ridge Elementary School at 1739 N.E. Park Dr.

Thrill the World Flash Mob: Don’t miss the opening flash mob performance of Thrill the World at noon and then again at 4 p.m. in the Issaquah Highlands. Zombies of all ages have been busy rehearsing the Michael Jackson Thriller dance. You can be a zombie too! Zombies are then invited to hop on the Trolley at 4:30 for a free ride down to Front Street to participate in the Zombie Walk and Flash Mob at 5 p.m.  Zombies will then be shuttled back to Grand Ridge Plaza, compliments of the Downtown Issaquah Association.

Downtown Zombie Walk: 2:30 to sometime after 5 p.m. Meet at the historic Shell Station at 2:30 for makeup and rehearsal.

Volunteer at Evans Creek Preserve: Join Sammamish Trail Stewards at Evans Creek Preserve to help maintain trails at the park. Evans Creek Preserve is located off of Highway 202 and 224th Ave. N.E. Information: Volunteer Coordinator, Dawn Sanders (425) 295-0556.

Oct. 28

Sammamish Arts Commission Meeting: 6:30-8:30 p.m., City Hall at Sammamish Commons, 801 228th Ave S.E., room 129.

Park Board: 7 p.m. at the Issaquah Trails Center, 110 Bush St.

Oct. 29

City Council study session: 5:30 p.m. at Issaquah City Hall in council chambers, 135 E. Sunset Way. This is the council’s final budget review. Public hearings will be held Nov. 4 and Nov. 18.

Park Pointe: A project for the Washington Trails Association to develop a trails system for the Park Pointe property. Almost two miles of trails will be added. Sign up for the Oct. 31 work day at trail_teams.wta.org. The meeting location is behind Issaquah High School near Sportsman’s Club. 23605 S.E. Evans St.

Breastfeeding support: 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Issaquah Breastfeeding is a new community based early parenting and breastfeeding support group. Meets every Wednesday at Village Green Yoga. Eastlake’s 20th annual holiday bazaar: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with over 80 crafters and artisans. Get all your holiday shopping done. Great parking, food trucks, raffle and bake sale. 400 228th Ave N.E., Sammamish.
