CORE Theatrics is presenting FAME Jr. and it features Sammamish students Jessica Sanford (Eastlake) and Chelsey Sanford (Inglewood Middle School).
FAME Jr. is set during the last years of New York City’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street (1980-1984). It is the bittersweet, but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today.
“My favorite part of being in FAME Jr. is bonding with the rest of the cast and creating fun memories,” said Jessica. For Chelsey, “FAME Jr. is a fun show. Most of all, this is the first time I’ve been on stage with my sister and I am excited about sharing this experience with her!”
Show dates and times: Thursday, Feb 28, Friday March 1, Saturday March 2 at 7 p.m. and Sunday March 3 at 2 p.m.
