Sammamish woman pleads guilty to vehicular homicide | UPDATE

Carol Fedigan, 69, is facing at least four years and 10 months in prison, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The woman who mixed wine and pills before driving her SUV through her Sammamish home in May 2014, killing her husband and son-in-law and seriously injuring her daughter, took a plea agreement Thursday afternoon.

Carol Fedigan, 69, is facing at least four years and 10 months in prison, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

She pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide and one count each of vehicular assault for driving while under the influence of alcohol and a sleep aid and reckless endangerment for driving with her 3-year-old grandson on her lap at the time of the crash.

Senior Deputy Prosecutor Amy Freedheim is recommending a maximum sentence of 73 months, according to the attorney’s office.

Judge John Chun is scheduled to sentence Fedigan at 1 p.m. Oct. 30 in the King County Courthouse.
