City looking for public comment on parks plan

The city is launching a public input process to update its Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails plan this year.

The city is launching a public input process to update its Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails plan this year.

The plan, updated annually, details both long and short term goals for the parks system, and and works to balance the development of new and old parks with overall environmental protection.

The city will conduct a survey and host two workshops in April to glean insight from Issaquah residents:

• 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 at Tibbetts Creek Manor, 750 17th Ave. N.W.

• 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 at City Hall’s Eagle Room, 130 E. Sunset Way

Staff will be available at both workshops to answer any questions the public may have.
