ArtEast sets winter education program

The artEAST Art Center in downtown Issaquah has announced its Winter 2012 education program, offering workshops for students of all levels from beginning to advanced, as well as professional development sessions, writer's workshops and open studio opportunities.

 

The artEAST Art Center in downtown Issaquah has announced its Winter 2012 education program, offering workshops for students of all levels from beginning to advanced, as well as professional development sessions, writer’s workshops and open studio opportunities.

Winter term begins Jan. 9 and online registration is a now available. Workshops include watercolor, drawing, painting, jewelry making, encaustics, ceramic handbuilding, photography and more.

ArtEAST opened the doors of its new art center and co-op gallery on Nov. 1, 2010 in downtown Issaquah, and with the paint barely dry, is using the space to host its expanded education program. For nearly 100 years, the building was the home of Lewis Hardware, fondly remembered as an anchor of the community.

ArtEAST is a non-profit organization made up of artists and art supporters. It is sponsored by the city of Issaquah and the Issaquah Arts Commission, 4Culture and the Sammamish Arts Commission.
