Education lawyer Charles Leitch will host a free seminar on the safe use of social media at Alcott Elementary Thursday on Oct. 3.

The presentation, titled “Youth Cyber-Safety and the Risks of Social Media,” is a course for parents on how to discuss the pitfalls of Facebook, Twitter and other networks with their children. Topics such as online bullying, addiction, and the legal ramifications of social media will be covered.

Leitch is a former county and city prosecutor who became a founding principal of Patterson Buchanan Fobes & Leitch, Inc., P.S. He specializes in counsel on prevention and response to harassment, intimidation and bullying.
