Prior to joining Sound Publishing, Campbell worked for the Snohomish County Tribune and Everett Tribune. She was a general assignment reporter who mostly covered Everett City Council and businesses operating within Snohomish County.

Campbell moved to Washington in fall 2014 after graduating from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree in new media communication and a minor in writing.

She was one of 16 college students accepted into the Charles Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism. The internship program assigns interns to newspapers and magazines throughout Oregon. Campbell interned at The News-Review, a daily paper in Roseburg, Oregon.

There she primarily covered education.

Campbell began reporting in college, while she was still studying mechanical engineering. After she discovered journalism, she quickly joined the college’s student-run paper, The Daily Barometer.

She worked there for two years, starting as the opinion page editor. In her senior year, she was the managing and news editor.

On her own time, Campbell enjoys reading, writing and painting.  She admits to drinking entirely too much coffee.
