Eastside Catholic 13 Nathan Hale 3

The Crusaders got three hits, including a home run, from TJ Murphy and a 2-2 day and three runs scored from Jeff Kepple in the five-inning win.

Travis Ulvestad worked four innings on the mound, striking out six and not allowing a run to get the win.

Eastlake 0 Issaquah 1

Justin Vernia quieted the Eastlake bats throughout the afternoon en route to a 1-0 win.

The Wolves managed four hits but were unable to push a run across against Vernia, who struck out seven and walked only two.

Josh Barokas was the hard-luck loser for Eastlake, working all six innings and also striking out seven and allowing only the four hits.

Vernia did the work at the plate as well, picking up a base hit and the only RBI of the game for the Eagles.

Boys lacrosse

Eastside Catholic 9 Bainbridge 8

Blake Lee netted the game-winner with less than three minutes left in the overtime period to help the Crusaders to the win over Bainbridge.

Lee finished with five goals to lead EC.

Girls tennis

Skyline 6 Eastlake 1

Shreenu Sivakumar, Jasmine Ye and Shrerry Huang won singles matches and the Spartans swept the doubles pairs to get the team win over Sammamish rival Eastlake.

Kate Park took the number one singles match for the Wolves.
