Sammamish City Council is recruiting commission and board candidates
The Sammamish City Council is seeking applicants for the following Commissions and Boards: Arts Commission, Beaver Lake Management District Board (BLMD), Parks & Recreation Commission and Planning Commission.
If you are interested in learning more about the Commissions or would like to apply please click on the Commissions, Boards & Committee tab on the upper left side of the city website (www.sammamish.us) and click the tab for the Commission you are interested in.
Under “Resources” you will see the application. If you would like to apply, complete the application, attach a letter of interest and your resume listing applicable experience and submit before November 30, 2016.
The City Councilmembers will review each application and make selections for applicants to be interviewed at an Open Public Council meeting. Appointments will be made in January, 2017 and all terms will begin in February. Most terms are for four years, with the exception of the Beaver Lake Management District Board, which is a five-year term.

Sammamish Landing Park docks removed for repairs
The city of Sammamish announced Tuesday that work crews were removing the docks at Sammamish Landing Park on Oct. 18 for repairs. The docks will be stored through the winter and will be put back in place after the work is completed, which is expected to be in the spring of 2017.
Nov. 8 election ballots mailed Oct. 19
King County Elections mailed out the Nov. 8 election ballots on Oct. 19.
Those registered to vote will receive a ballot in the mail. Ballots are mailed about three weeks prior to an election day and earlier to overseas and service voters.
