The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
May 2
SEXUAL ASSAULT: At 12:11 a.m. in the 1400 block of 217th Ave. SE, a man followed a teenage girl into a bathroom during a party and sexually assaulted her. The suspect is the victim’s 18-year-old classmate.
GUN FOUND: At 2:13 p.m. at 3850 Klahanie Drive SE, police took a BB gun that management found in the backyard of the apartment complex and stored the gun in a firearms box for safekeeping.
RIDING SHOTGUN: At 2:45 p.m. at 244th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth Street, the victim saw what she believed was a rifle fall from a vehicle at a roundabout. Police did not locate the rifle. However, the gun owner later came to the Sammamish police station to report his gun fell out of his vehicle and someone stole it.
WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING: At 4:16 p.m. at 825 228th Ave. SE, a man reported that someone possibly stole his car keys from his vehicle while he was sleeping at the Sammamish Library.

TAKE THE BUS NEXT TIME: At 7:42 p.m. in the 24100 block of NE Eighth St., someone stole a bike from the Inglewood Middle School bike rack by cutting the lock.

SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP: At 10:20 a.m. at 4570 Klahanie Drive SE, police transported a well-known drunk subject from the grocery store to the hospital for detox.
May 5
BIKE THEFT: At 7 a.m. in the 300 block of 231st Lane SE, someone stole the victim’s two mountain bikes by using a tool to cut the chain lock. The victim lives on the ground level of an apartment complex and his bikes were chain-locked to his barbecue grill on his back patio.
May 6
CHILD ABUSE: At 12:15 p.m. in the 11000 block of 268th Way SE, a child claimed his father abused him via a wooden spoon.
HIGHWAY ROBBERY, DRAGGING: At 10:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of 225th Place SE, an unknown subject drove off with the victim’s cell phone and the vehicle dragged him through the neighborhood. The victim declined medical aid.
May 7
EGGED: At 8:45 a.m. in the 200 block of 235th Place SE, someone egged the victim’s house, car and trash cans sometime between 1 to 8 a.m.
CLOSING TIME RAGE: At 7:39 p.m. at 640 228th Ave. NE, an ale house employee cut off two drunk males from drinking, who in response damaged furniture.
May 8
SUSPECT SPRAYS FIDO: At 12:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of 248th Place SE, a family with two kids and their family dog was walking the Yellow Lake trail, southbound from the playground area. The suspect confronted the family and spraying something on their dog.
K9 TRACK FOR METH: At 9:48 p.m. in the 4300 block of 239th Place SE, a suspicious truck led to a K9 track for a suspect with two felony warrants and a large amount of suspected meth. The suspect dumped the truck then ran away, leaving his meth in the truck.
