Drug activity, extortion and speeding | Sammamish Police blotter June 2-13

Reports were taken from King County Sheriff's Office incident logs

The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

 

June 2

GROWING PAINS: Police received an anonymous tip of an outdoor marijuana grow operation in the 19400 block of Southeast 24th Street.

June 3

EXTORTION: A 15-year-old in the 360 block of 212 Place Southeast reported that a person claiming to be from Scotland, who she met on Instagram, is threatening to publicly expose naked pictures of her if she doesn’t send him more nude photos.

June 5

VANDALISM: Police responded to vandalism at the Wells Fargo Bank ATM in the Pine Lake Village shopping center around 11:23 a.m.

June 9

SPEEDING: Police received a report of chronic speeding between Southeast 20th Street and 212th Avenue Southeast Monday-Friday around 9 a.m. and again at 3:30 p.m.

BUSTED: Police stopped a driver along Issaquah-Pine Lake Road with expired tabs and who had not transferred the vehicle title within the 45-day period. The driver was found to have a license suspended in the third degree.

June 10

I’LL TAKE THAT: An unknown suspect entered a single-story townhouse office building in the 1300 block of 227th Place Southeast and took the television from the workout room. There were no signs of forced entry.

DISPOSE: Someone dropped off unwanted ammunition for disposal at the Sammamish Police Department front desk in city hall at 801 228th Avenue Southeast.

June 11

STANKY: A caller reported a red Honda Civic had been parked at Montere Condos along East Lake Sammamish Parkway for the past six months. The caller believed the vehicle may belong to someone living in the condos, but the Honda is reportedly filled with rotten food and clothes.

June 12

SMASH: A resident reported that his vehicle’s window had been smashed during the evening while it was parked in the 24600 block of Southeast Ninth Place. Nothing was reported stolen.

June 13

DRUGS: Drug activity was reported at the intersection of Southeast 32nd Street and 241st Avenue Southeast around 7:10 p.m.
