I was happy to read that the current council worked with and listened to the waterfront homeowners concerns regarding the Shoreline issues. This is what can be done when you have a council willing to listen and not bully their ordinances and plans through. In fact, it would be great if that were the way things could continue.
So voters keep in mind that if the current council does get re-elected by you, you will have to hold their feet to the fire to prevent them from falling back into their old habits. They haven’t become easier to work with because they have changed; it is because of the pressure put on them by various groups around the city and the fact that it is time for re-election.
