A busy parent’s perfect helper

As beautiful as parenthood is, most moms and dads of young children will tell you it does have it’s tougher moments.

As beautiful as parenthood is, most moms and dads of young children will tell you it does have it’s tougher moments. Young parents often have to give up things they enjoyed as footloose and fancy-free adults — things like romantic dinners and nights out with friends.

But not anymore. Thanks to a brilliant idea by Texas-based company Adventure Kids Playcare, moms and dads in Issaquah now have access to top-quality child minding services, available at a convenient hourly rate. The best part is, they are open until 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Got a last minute happy hour invitation from an old college friend? Adventure Kids will keep your youngster happy and entertained until the late hours, no rushing home at 7:30 p.m. to check on that first-time babysitter, or worrying about inconveniencing your family and friends.

To encourage parents to take advantage of this new-found liberty, Adventure Kids Playcare at 775 NW Gilman Blvd. is teaming up with a favorite local restaurant, the Coho Cafe, to offer a deal on your meal and one free hour of playcare. The “Stop, Drop & Dine” program is designed to demonstrate that being a loving and dedicated parent doesn’t mean having to give up your social life.

Adventure Kids Playcare also offers a drop-in education program for pre-school age children, and a before and after school program with bus service to and from Issaquah Valley Elementary and Grand Ridge Elementary. Homework helpers are available for no extra charge. All staff are CPR and First Aid certified, and have passed a criminal background check.
