Man picking up impounded vehicle arrested for outstanding warrant | Sammamish Police Blotter Nov. 28 – Dec. 4

The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Nov. 21

A BAG OF PILLS AND A WAD OF CASH: At 3:01 p.m., a subject was scheduled to pick up his impounded vehicle from the Sammamish Police Department. Prior to arriving, police found the subject had an outstanding felony warrant. He was arrested upon arrival. Found on the subject was a plastic baggie with several white pills and over $1200 cash. The subject was booked into King County Jail.

Nov. 23

CAR PROWL: At 8:45 a.m., a resident at the Knolls Apartments, located at the 22600 block of NE Inglewood Hill Rd. reported her car had been broken into and a diaper bag had been stolen.

SQUATTERS: At 2:45 p.m., police were assisting Sammamish Code Enforcement with the inspection of an unoccupied house, which is owned by a developer and will soon be demolished. Police came in contact with squatters occupying the house. Police explained to them that steps would be taken to have them legally removed.

Nov. 26

DUI: At 9:24 p.m., police responded to a single vehicle collision at the 700 block of 228 Ave. NE. The driver was suspected to be under the influence of marijuana and alcohol and had a prior DUI from 2012. He was arrested and booked into Issaquah Jail.

Nov. 27

DUI HIT-AND-RUN: At 5:17 p.m., police responded to a report of a DUI hit-and-run at the Safeway located at 630 228 Ave. NE.

CREDIT FRAUD: At 8:12 p.m., a resident at the 24200 block of SE 43rd Court reported their credit card was used to purchase an iPhone on EBay.

Nov. 28

IDENTITY THEFT: At 11:05 a.m., a resident at the 3200 block of 211 Ave. NE reported discovering fraudulent charges of $1,381.28 to their American Express card for a Dell laptop.

AGGRESSIVE SOLICITOR: At 4:26 p.m., a resident at the 22600 block of SE 32nd St. reported aggressive behavior from a door-to-door solicitor. The solicitor allegedly punched the homeowner’s door after shutting it.

Nov. 29

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: At 4:06 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious male seen on video checking open garages at the 1000 block of 233 Place NE.

Nov. 30

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION: At 7:18 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance between a subject and his father at the 400 block of 222 Ave. NE. During the investigation, the subject attempted to conceal a clear plastic baggy of heroin in his mouth. The subject was booked into King County Jail.

CAUGHT STEALIN’: At 8:20 p.m., a subject was trespassed from the Klahanie QFC, located at the 4500 block of Klahanie Dr. SE, after being caught stealing Dura Flame firelogs.

Dec. 1

CRIMINAL WARRANT: At 10:54 p.m., a traffic stop for a missing front license plate yielded a driver with a misdemeanor warrant.

Dec. 2

DUI ACCIDENT: At 1:29 a.m., police responded to a single vehicle collision at the 22300 block of NE 19th St. The driver was suspected to be under the influence of marijuana or another drug.

Dec. 3

AUTO THEFT: At 10 a.m., a resident at the Summerwalk Apartments, located at the 3800 block of Klahanie Dr. SE, reported their unlocked vehicle had been stolen.
