Shawn Diane (Sherin) Griffis, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 of a sudden, unpreventable complication with her heart.

She was born on June 14, 1955, the beloved daughter of Steve Sherin and Sharon Calabrese in Renton, WA.

In Hawaii on vacation, she met a boy from a few towns over and they were inseparable for the next 40 years. They settled into the dream home they built on Lake Tapps, WA and raised two of the luckiest children in the world. Shawn lived life with uncommon fire and passion, and confronted good and bad with an inexorable, sometimes inappropriate, sense of humor. Every day, she left someone surprised. Her laugh was contagious.

Shawn will forever be missed and remembered by her loving family: husband Brian, children Tyler (Becky) and Brienne, grandchildren Logan and Reagan, mother Sharon, siblings Shannon, Stevie, and Bud, and many others.

There will be a remembrance and celebration of life this Saturday, February 25th from noon to 4pm, at the Club House on Tapps Island where she lived with her family for 30 years.
