The city of Sammamish announced Thursday it reopened one lane of traffic on 212th Way Southeast, also known as Snake Hill Road, after closing the road on April 6 due to cracks and soil issues.
“Special signals and signs are in place to guide traffic through the single-lane portion of the roadway. Please drive carefully,” the city stated in an online post.
City engineers had noticed new cracks and signs of subsiding soil along the road’s western edge after an inspection on April 5.
The city plans to close Snake Hill Road completely later this year for major improvements.
