Eastside Fire and Rescue firefighters rescued 10 little ducklings in Sammamish from a storm drain Monday.

Thanks to a concerned citizen alerting the authorities the ducklings were safely recovered and released to their mother.

“Mother duck was very thankful and quickly escorted them to a safe area not before turning and counting to make sure they were all there,” read the Eastside Fire Firefighters Facebook post.

The city of Sammamish Public Works and the Sammamish Police Department assisted.
