Eastside Catholic Crusaders freshman track athlete Kate Jendrezak captured a Class 3A state title in the 800-meter dash, clocking a time of 2:10.99 on May 27 at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma. Holy Names Academy senior Erin Ripple finished in second place with a time of 2:13.18.
