The first wave of King County primary election results, released at approximately 8 p.m. on Aug. 1, showed Karen Moran slightly in the lead with 35.07 percent of the vote in the Sammamish City Council Position 3 race. Just behind her was Karen Howe with 34.12 percent of the vote. Minal Kode Ghassemieh had attained 30.62 percent of the vote.
Chris Ross led the Position 5 race with 49.09 percent. Rituja Indapure earned 30.95 percent of the vote, while Ryika Hooshangi was at 19.73 percent.
For the Position 7 race, Pam Stuart was ahead with 51.45 percent. John Robinson came next with 31.23 percent, while Melanie Curtright had received 10.39 percent of the vote. Roger Chapanis earned 6.81 percent.
Final results will be certified Aug. 15.
