The intersection of East Sunset Way and Second Avenue Southeast will be closed for paving construction activities on Thursday, Aug. 24.
The work will require the intersection to be completely closed, with alternate detoured routes, which will be designated by signage and flaggers utilizing nearby streets.
The closure will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., while the construction activities are being completed.
The Issaquah School District has been working throughout the summer to install a new traffic signal at the intersection that will enhance traffic flow and safety.
The signal will accommodate the new Issaquah Middle School and Clark Elementary School locations.
The School District aims to have the project completed by the start of the new school year.
This project is located near the corner of Eastside Fire No. 71.
