The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city of Sammamish. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Jan. 15
What an egghead: An unknown person threw eggs at a car on Southeast Klahanie Boulevard sometime before 5:30 p.m. The eggs caused damage to the car’s paint that was determined to cost less than $1,500.
Jan. 16
Get off my lawn: A resident of 239th Place Southeast reported at 7:35 p.m. that three weeks before, he had seen a male standing in his backyard and masturbating while facing the neighbor’s house.
Jan. 18
Hotboxing the car: A 2014 Subaru Outback was stopped at 12:50 a.m. for going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone on East Lake Sammamish Parkway. The driver of the car was found to be under the influence of marijuana.
Jan. 21
Blowing off steam: At 6:41 a.m., a fight between two males was reported in the parking lot of the Chevron gas station on Klahanie Drive Southeast.
Jan. 22
Unsafe way to live: Several whip cream cans were found discarded outside of the Safeway on 228th Avenue at 8:58 a.m. The manager of the store said that the spot is used by a heroin user and guessed that the addict had used the whip cream cans for huffing. The manager requested police help for dealing with the situation.
Not the Fourth of July yet: A resident came to the Sammamish Police Department on 228th Avenue at 2:30 p.m. to turn in a small amount of fireworks that she found while cleaning her garage. The fireworks will be submitted into evidence for destruction.
Drawing the battle lines: Two neighbors on 242nd Avenue Southeast had a dispute at 5:37 p.m. over the property line between their yards. They cut a string line marking the boundary.
Jan. 23
A really bad idea: A resident of Southeast 42nd Way reported at 12:28 a.m. that he met a woman online and traded nude photos with her. The woman is now requesting money from the the resident and is threatening to post his photos on Facebook if he does not pay her.
Jan. 25
A statement of anger: A resident of 221st Avenue reported that she and her husband had gotten into an argument at 1:20 p.m. while she was looking at her online bank statements. The husband grabbed the phone from his wife’s right hand, causing several cuts and abrasions to the back of her hand.
