A 22-year-old Issaquh man was killed in a car accident on Saturday.
Identified as Dallas Starren by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Starren was driving a Ford pickup truck eastbound Southwest May Valley Road near the 21300 block at approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 17.
According to King County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Ryan Abbott, Starren appeared to be speeding and wasn’t wearing his seat belt when he “failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway” and crashed into a tree.
King County Sheriff’s Office and Medic One responded, however, Starren had perished at the scene.
The medical examiner’s office reports his cause of death was compressional asphxia and blunt force injuries.
Detectives believe alcohol was involved but the case is still under investigation, Abbott said.
There are now flowers and a cross at the crash site.
Abbott said this was one of four accidents on May Valley Road since the beginning of 2018. Two of those accidents happened this past Monday, March 19, however, Abbott said he wouldn’t classify the road as being an area of high impact.
