This spring, more than 1,200 community members and business leaders from across the region will rally together to support the Issaquah Schools Foundation at two signature events: the Nourish Every Mind luncheon on May 10 and the Nourish Every Mind breakfast on May 22.
Foundation-funded programs impact more than 21,000 students in the growing Issaquah School District, benefitting schools across the cities of Issaquah, Sammamish, Renton, Bellevue and Newcastle, and reaching as far as Snoqualmie. Parents, business leaders, volunteers, educators and engaged residents are all invited to attend. To register for the luncheon or breakfast, visit isfdn.org/register.
At Nourish Every Mind, attendees will hear first-hand from students and teachers who have benefited directly from Foundation funding. Each year, the Foundation supports a wide range of initiatives across the District, providing more than $1.3 million for STEM curriculum, robotics, arts, mentoring, breakfast and lunch assistance, tutoring, teacher training, parent education, classroom resources and more.
In addition, a range of Foundation-led programs support students, families and educators, with each program tailored to meet the changing needs of the District. For example, the Cultural Bridges program helps parents who are new to the District learn about the school system with services offered in Spanish, Korean and Chinese, while the VOICE Mentors program pairs adult volunteers with more than 345 students for one-to-one mentoring, supporting social skills and academics. To learn more about Foundation programs, visit isfdn.org.
Thanks to generous sponsors, 100 percent of donations made at the events will go directly to support students in the District. The requested minimum donation of $150 per attendee (pledged during the events) can also be made via a monthly giving option of $12.50 per month.
