As detectives are hitting dead ends in their pursuit of person behind the Skyline shooting threat, students are beginning to unify around a simple response – be nice.

Students found a post Wednesday that threatened to shoot up the Skyline High School student commons Thursday morning, because students there were mean and oppressive.

As a response, Skyline student Jake Barokas posted a video the day Skyline High School classes were canceled, talking about how important it is to be tolerant and kind to one another.

“If we all start small we can bring change on a larger scale,” he said in the video. “So students don’t feel the need to post threats like the one we encountered.”

The video garnered about 300 “likes” about 20 comments.

The forensic investigation conducted by King County Sheriff Office detectives hit a dead end, when the proxy server that hosted the comment traced back to Sweden.

Police don’t know if the post originated from a student or even within the United States. Since the Wednesday post, no more new posts have been seen, according to the Sheriff’s office.
