ISSAQUAH BLOTTER: Man wanders into woods drunk, gets lost

The following information was compiled from city of Issaquah police reports:

-A man called police after his 21-year-old friend wandered off alone and drunk into the woods from Northwest Stoney Creek Drive and Northwest Alpine Crest on Jan. 16. The man called his lost friend, and police were able to pinpoint his location.

-A 17-year-old was arrested for driving without a valid license at I-90 and 17th Avenue Northwest on Jan. 11.

-Police found a construction worker who was too tired to drive home and decided to sleep in his car on the 100 block of 6th Avenue Southeast. The man commutes from Leavenworth to work.

-A can of chew was reportedly stolen from the Brown Bear Car Wash on Southeast 56th Street on Jan. 7.

-A man called police after he caught some youths smoking near his porch and yelling, but they had left before police arrived on the 2600 block of Northeast Park Drive on Jan. 7.

-A 14-year-old was arrested for possession of marijuana on the 400 block of 1st Avenue Southeast on Jan. 6.

-About $4,600 in faucets were stolen from the Issaquah Lowes on Jan. 6.

-There was a report of reckless driving on East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast and Southeast 56th Street on Jan. 7.

-A burglar used a victim’s back door to steal two laptops and an iPod, worth about $1,500, on the 4900 block of 194th Avenue Southeast on Jan. 5.

-There was a report of gas being stolen from two school district vans on the 300 block of Southeast Evans Street Jan. on 18.

-A woman called police on the 100 block of Newport Way Northwest, after finding a memorial of flowers and candles setup in front of her neighbor’s place Jan. 18.

-An employee at an Issaquah Inn reported a possible “peeping tom” Jan. 14. The woman said she saw a man bending down in front of a window as if peering in. When she confronted him, he said he was looking for a friend.

-After receiving several calls, police found a drunk stumbling around in public on the 1100 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard on Jan. 15.

-Police responded to a possible drug overdose on the 5200 block of 236th Place Southeast. Fire officials were on the scene before the officer arrived, and the subject was responsive, although they couldn’t figure out what drug was taken Jan. 14.

-Police helped metro by removing a drunk who had passed out on a bus on the 100 block of East Sunset Way on Jan. 14.

-King County Metro called police to have a man in a silver SUV, who was loitering and smoking, to be removed from the 1700 block of Highlands Drive Northeast on Jan. 15.

-Two men were arrested for burglarizing an AMPM, taking about $6,000 in goods, and also for possession of marijuana Jan. 16 on the 1400 block of Northwest Sammamish Road.
