Parkadilly at Lake Sammamish kids’ concert, fair and fun is a good time for all, including volunteers ages 12 and older.
The event will be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, at Lake Sammamish State Park.
Volunteers are needed to hand out programs, assist vendors with set-up, make cotton candy, assist with art projects, set up chairs for the concert or wear the cow costume at the entrance to the petting zoo. Help is also needed the evening before for set-up at 7 p.m.
Parkadilly is back for its fifth year to introduce children and their grown-ups to outdoor activities and live music. The fair is free. Parkadilly is a Seafair sanctioned community event.
Fair activities include trampolines, hula hooping with Hoop Smiles, children’s story times, community recycled art sculpturing, free face painting, build-you-own trail mix, Knockerball and more than 50 kid-focused vendors. Blitz, the Seahawks mascot, will be a guest visitor. Food trucks will have lunch options, from vegetarian food to fish tacos.
Parkadilly is a community celebration hosted by Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park.
While the fair is a free event, park admission requires an annual $30 Discover Pass or $10 per carload daily fee.
Volunteers can sign up at www.signupgenius.com or email operations@flssp.com.
