The Fulbright Scholars Program chose the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery as an example of how science can be used to benefit the public good.

About 40 scholars, all studying science and technology, from around the world plan to tour the facility May 30.

The idea of the tour is to show how innovative ideas can transfer from the lab to concrete application in the field.

The Fulbright program was established by the U.S. government as a flagship international exchange program.
