Zombies coming home this weekend in Issaquah

The annual zombie walk event is coming to homes through an online event Saturday

Zombies are back in Issaquah? Believe it!

From 6 to 7 p.m. to Saturday, Oct. 24 the Zombie Walk returns in partnership with the Downtown Issaquah Association, for an hour long online event, independent downtown scavenger hunt and prizes.

The 11th year of the Issaquah Zombie Walk will, like all other events this year, look different, but Issaquah Zombie Walk Founder Tom Gotuzzo remains optimistic.

“Zombie Walk has been a great event for a decade, bringing friends and families into downtown Issaquah for the event, but also to hang around after and enjoy the local restaurants. Home Edition gives us the opportunity to try some new activities, and we look forward to zombie invading Front Street next year,” Gotuzzo stated in a press release.

The activity filled hour-long event includes helpful tips for zombie makeup and walking, Halloween games, how to make ghoulish food, and DIY slime, and dance tutorials for “Time Warp” and “Thriller” with help from local businesses.

Before the event, participants can submit zombie videos to win prizes, and a rock painting and discovery scavenger hunt throughout Issaquah, the details of which can be found at issaquahzombiewalk.com.

Downtown Issaquah Association, Olympic Rockeries, Glass House Dance Studio, Las Margaritas, Stan’s BBQ, Vino Bella, Cattledog Cookie Co. and Swim Labs will all be involved in the event.

Interested participants can join the Issaquah Zombie Walk Facebook page, Downtown Issaquah website, Facebook or Downtown Issaquah YouTube.
