The American Red Cross serving King and Kitsap counties is looking for ordinary individuals who have performed extraordinary deeds. Do you know someone who used CPR to save a life, or raised money to help someone in need?
On March 31, 2011, the Red Cross will present awards to local heroes who saved lives, exemplified the Red Cross mission or made significant, positive differences in their communities in the areas of emergency response, preparedness and prevention.
Previous award winners include eight year-old Bergen Till who performed the abdominal thrust on his three year-old brother, high school senior, Natalie Marr who helped prepare the Mercer Island community, and Terri Yellam who used her Red Cross CPR skills to save a friend. Information about the nominations available online at www.seattleredcross.org or by calling 206-726-3543 or emailing melissa.hopkins@seattleredcross.org.
