Vance Buse passed away Aug 4, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born October 29, 1946 to Al and Mae Buse in Crookston, MN. Vance grew up in Red Lake Falls, MN, graduating from Lafayette High School in 1965. Vance enlisted in the Navy in 1968, he was discharged in 1972 and went to work at Garden Valley Telephone Company. In 1974 he married his best friend, Debbie Thibert.
Vance and Debbie later moved to Washington state, where he continued in the communications industry. He and Debbie raised four children in Issaquah, WA, before moving to Whid- bey Island in 2000. He ended his career after 25 years of service at Puget Sound Energy in 2013.
Vance and Debbie enjoyed traveling the country in their RV to visit friends and family. Vance was a lifelong transportation enthusiast, whether it was watching ships from his front porch, touring train depots or cruising in his convertible. Vance was a dedicated family man who enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Buse, his children Nicole (Justin) Maloney of Duvall WA, Paulette Buse of Seattle WA, Carl (Callie) Buse of Vashon, WA, and Kelsey (Jason) Rogers of Garfield, AR, his 6 grandchildren, Morgan and Gabe Maloney, Oscar and Gwendolyn Buse,
Logan and Tucker Rogers, and his brother Todd Buse. Vance was preceded in death by his parents Al and Mae Buse.
