Laura Marie Ostrem was born in Renton, Washington on August 4, 1957 to her parents Don and Myrna Ostrem. She was diagnosed with Multiple Scleresis when she was 40 years old and passed away from complications of the MS on February 28, 2022 in Auburn at the age of 64.
She graduated from Issaquah High School with the Class of 1975.
Laura proceeded to do a number of interesting things in her lifetime. She worked in Hollywood on the movie Batman 2 where she had responsibility for all the penguin sequences. She later practiced Hypnotherapy where she helped people to stop smoking, overcome their fear of flying, etc. She also liked to ski with family and friends and enjoyed attending the Hydroplane races. Laura loved animals of all kinds and doted on her dogs and cats.
She was proceeded in death by her father in 1981 and her only sister, Linda, in 2004. She is survived by her mother, and brother, Lonn; 4 aunts and 1 uncle; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday May 22, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. until dusk at the Game Farm Park in Auburn, Washington. There will be a catered luncheon included.
