Skyline’s suffocating defense held non-league Mariner to a season-low point total Wednesday night, earning a 52-28 road victory.
Brian Cikatz led the Spartans with a game-high 19 points. Will Parker and Kasen Williams scored eight points apiece.
In seven contests Skyline has now held opponents to an average of 42.6 points per game. The Spartans take a week off before hosting Nevada’s Bishop Manogue at noon, Thursday, Dec. 30.

Issaquah finishes Arizona tournament with 1-3 record
Issaquah started strong, but came up shy of a victory in its final game of the Nike Tournament of Champions Wednesday in Arizona.
The Eagles carried a 26-21 lead to the locker room over Dillard of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., but couldn’t hang on, eventually falling 53-45.
Blaire Brady led Issaquah with 16 points. Brooke Miller and Ngozi Monu scored eight apiece for the Eagles.
Issaquah ended the four-day tournament with a 1-3 record. The Eagles beat Tolleson, Ariz., 51-41 on Tuesday. They lost to Etiwanda, Calif., 55-48, and Chandler, Ariz., 59-54.
Issaquah is now 4-3 overall. The Eagles will take a couple of weeks off before facing Garfield at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4 in Seattle.
