Valerie Ford (Newell), a lifelong resident of Renton, Washington passed away January 9, 2023 due to complications from her 5 year battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was the eldest of 5 children born to John and Eleanor Newell.

Married her High School Sweetheart and Soulmate Gary Ford October 1976.

She was preceded in death by her father John Newell. Survived by her Husband of 46 yrs (Gary), their 4 Children Jason (Jemi), Jared (Coral), Jordan (Whitney) and Tiffany. Their 6 grandchildren Katelyn, Titus, Reese, Mila, Logan and Elle. Her Mother Eleanor Newell. Siblings Lygea (Doug), Leif, Patti (John) and Kevin.

Valerie loved Jesus and her family, led a creatively adventurous life, a Renton High Graduate 1975, rode motorcycles over 100k miles, horseback riding, 4H horse leader, frequented Disney properties 17 times, greeting card designer/maker, Teddy Bear collector, baked/gifting banana bread, volunteered regularly at church and everywhere she saw a need.

Valerie loved organizing/hosting parties and will be the focus of a celebration service with party following on Sunday Feb 5, 3pm at Champions Centre, 1819 E 72nd St., Tacoma. There will be pen and paper provided for authoring your most memorable ‘Valerie’ times to be complied into a scrap book of her fondest memories.
