Seven Washington students have been awarded scholarships by Eastside Fire and Rescue to support their ongoing education.

With a particular emphasis on community service and volunteer activities, scholarships were awarded to Christian McOmber (Eastlake High School), Nicole Arend (Issaquah High School), Alexis Court (Liberty High School), Ashley Seiser (Mount Si High School), Michael Stead (Skyline High School), Stephanie Montgomery (Cedarcrest High School), and Emily Ashburn, the daughter of an EFR member. Since the scholarship’s inception in 1999, more than $36,000 have been awarded to local students.
