Washington State Democrats will confront Congressman Dave Reichert at a demonstration Sept. 25 to ask why he thinks he represents the citizens of the 8th Congressional District.

The rally will be held at Reichert’s $2,500-a-plate fundraiser in Issaquah being hosted by by former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Newt Gingrich.

Gingrich, as speaker of the U.S. House from 1995 to 1999, was instrumental in two government shutdowns – in 1995 and 1996 – in a dispute with President Clinton over health care costs.

The rally will be held at the Issaquah Hilton Garden Inn, 1800 N.W. Gilman Blvd., starting at 4 p.m.
