The city of Sammamish will host a special meeting for potential Eagle Scouts at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9.

The goal is to provide youngsters with options for their Eagle Scout projects. Other organizations, like the “Friends of Cedar River Watershed,” also will be present to brainstorm project ideas.

“We’ve had kids do some very interesting work in connection with the city as they ascended to the rank of Eagle Scout,” said Dawn Sanders, the city’s volunteer coordinator. “We’re looking forward to another very productive meeting on Jan. 9.”

There is still plenty of time for additional organizations to join in. Organizations that have appropriate project options for the Scouts can contact Sanders at dsanders@sammamish.us or (425) 295-0556.
