Redmond’s big bats were too much for Issaquah to handle in Monday’s loser-out KingCo 4A game at Inglemoor.
The Mustangs were led by Pat McGrath’s grand slam home run. Nick Rotherman also went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI.
Issaquah, which collected seven hits off Redmond starter TJ Whidbey, earned all three of its runs in the top of the seventh inning.
The Eagles ended their season with a 8-14 overall record. This is the second straight year Issaquah fell shy of the state tournament and only the fourth time they’ve missed the big show in the last 12 years.

Skyline loaded the bases multiple times Monday night, but struggled to create offense in a 10-1 loss to Newport.
The Spartans earned just three hits off of starter Cole Wiper, moving into a loser-out game at 4 p.m., today against Redmond.
Lee Stoops led the Knights to the KingCo 4A championship game and an automatic state berth, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
