There will be a celebration of life for Snoqualmie Pass Tow owner Jason Halstead who was killed in the line of duty on December 16 on Snoqualmie pass.

The celebration will be held at Flintofts Funeral home located at 540 East Sunset Highway, Issaquah, Washington at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22. At the request of the family, there will be no tow truck procession before or after the event. Anyone wishing to contribute to a memorial for Jason may write a check directly to Jamie Halstead and give it to her at the event.

Jason, 46 years old, was dispatched to tow a disabled pick-up that was stuck in the snow on Interstate 90 east of the summit. He had just arrived at the scene and exited his tow truck when a westbound pick-up lost control, came across both lanes, and struck him, killing him instantly.

Snoqualmie Pass towing was a fixture on Interstate 90 and many stranded motorists were rescued by Jason and his brother, Ben, over the years.  Ben died suddenly last year and Jason was carrying on the business when the accident occurred. Jason is survived by his wife, Jamie, father Clyde, mother Janice and many friends in the area.
