Five students from Sammamish have received $2,500 National Merit scholarships.
They were chosen from more than 15,000 finalists in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. The students, probable career field and high school attended are: Cameron W. Akker, Sammamish, electrical engineering, Redmond High School; Samhita Karnati, Sammamish, computer engineering, Redmond High School; James B. McCutcheon, Sammamish, business, Eastlake High School; Jacques W. Therrien, Sammamish, computer engineering, Skyline High School; Anwell Wang, Sammamish, entrepreneurship, International Community School, Kirkland.
