The Issaquah School District is on alert tonight, after a fifth-grader was followed by two men in Sammamish on his way home from school.

The boy was walking from Discovery Elementary on Southeast 20th Street, just west of 228th Avenue Southeast, when two men inside an off-white landscaping truck waved to the student, pulled over and motioned for him to come closer. The truck had a tool rack with rakes and shovels.

When the boy walked away, the truck followed behind, until the drive saw the kid pull out his cell phone to call his mom. The student immediately returned to school and informed staff.

The boy described the two men as about 30 years old, fair skinned/Caucasian with no facial hair. The passenger was also reportedly wearing a plaid shirt.
