Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park is forming a Community Celebrations Committee to bring new events to the state park.

Heading the list will be a Children’s Fair and Concert on July 24, to coincide with the grand opening of the new all-accessible playground. The organization anticipates the fair will become an annual event.

Another idea is to have a Dog Walk in the Park, such as a “Wag and Walk.” If you love dogs and people, here’s a chance to bring them together.

The Friends group has heard many ideas about events that would be fun to have at the park, but volunteers are needed to help bring them to life.
