Karen Porterfield is hosting a barbecue to raise money and support for her campaign in the 8th congressional district August 8.

The event is free, but an $8 donation is recommended. The event is also taking in canned food for the food bank.

The event includes food, games, dessert and live music. Bring a blanket to sit.It’s located at Central Park in the Issaquah Highlands,1907 NE Park Dr. The event is from 3 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
