The following information was compiled from city of Sammamish and Issaquah police reports.
Someone called police when they heard a woman scream and then found blood and teeth in the lobby of an apartment building on the 900 block of Northeast High Street, April 17.
Police arrived the same time as the firefighters. They followed a blood trail to an apartment to find a highly intoxicated 71-year-old woman. She had fallen in the lobby and knocked her own teeth out.
TICKLE MATCH
Police responded to a report of a man and woman assaulting each other in a car April 27 on the 2100 block of Newport Way in Issaquah, when they discovered it was a tickling match.
When police arrived, the boyfriend was standing outside of the car, talking and smiling with his girlfriend, who was behind the wheel.
HUB CAP FRISBEE
Police found two youths tossing a hub cap like a frisbee along a busy intersection on Highlands Drive in Issaquah, when it landed in the roadway. Parents were asked to handle the situation on their own May 2.
MISSING DIAMOND
A Sammamish resident reported April 30 that someone stole a 2.25 karat diamond ring valued at $19,500 sometime between March and April.
The resident, who traveled to Arizona for several weeks, said she put the ring in her dresser drawer. When she returned home she found her roommate’s boyfriend’s kids playing in her dresser.
The caller confronted her roommate and her boyfriend, who said they knew nothing about the ring. She was concerned the children, aged 8 and 11, might have taken the ring.
THREATS WITH A GUN
A 47-year-old Sammamish man was arrested April 29 for threatening to shoot his ex-girlfriend. The intoxicated man became upset over a broken perfume bottle and made threats of choking and shooting the woman, who he still lived with.
Police arrested the man after finding a loaded .45 caliber magazine in his front pocket.
FORGED CHECKS
A Sammamish man called police May 1 to report that someone stole out-going mail from his box in the 100 block of 210th Place Northeast.
The thief recently cashed three checks, two of which were washed and rewritten for amounts more than the original.
COMPUTER THEFT
A Sammamish man reported someone smashed the right rear window of his Lexus on May 1, stealing his briefcase and a notebook computer valued at $900.
The robbery occurred in the 2300 block of 259th Place Southeast.
SMASH AND GRAB
A Beaver Lake resident called police May 1 to report someone had broken the back window of his car and stole a camera bag with $10,000 worth of equipment inside.
Police said it appeared to be a smash and grab as the glove box and the interior of the car did not appear to be ransacked.
UNLOCKED DOORS
Unlocked doors led to the loss of two vehicle registration forms and an expensive pair of sunglasses for one Sammamish resident May 1.
Two vehicles were left unlocked in the 2600 block of 260 Place Southeast. Both of the registration forms taken still had the tabs taped to them and the Maui Jims sunglasses were valued at $400.
PARKING LOT THEFT
An Issaquah woman called police after someone broke the front passenger window of her car parked at a Sammamish athletic club in the 2900 block of 228th Avenue Southeast.
The thieves broke in sometime between 5 and 10 p.m., May 2, and took a computer valued at $600.
SCAM ATTEMPT
A couple received a couple calls from a subject claiming to be the IRS and wanting them to resend their tax information by fax.
The couple called the IRS. It confirmed that it already had their tax information and that they wouldn’t ask for it by fax.
The couple was out of town, and were concerned for their two teenage children. Police advised that they call if they see anything suspicious on the 4200 block of 182nd Avenue Southeast, Issaquah, April 16.
