As much planning as organizers can do for the Issaquah Salmon Festival, there are two important factors out of their control – the weather and the salmon!
This year’s festival was blessed with two days of dry weather and plenty of salmon in Issaquah Creek. About 190,000 attended the festival over the weekend, the 41st Salmon Days in the city’s history.
A record number of runners and walkers took part in the Issaquah Rotary’s Issaquah Run, with 2126 starters, 300 more than last year. Congratulations to the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce and the festival’s organizers, as well as the more than 500 volunteers who gave up their weekend to put on a great show.
