Kudos to the reader who suggested turning the Mars Hill Church property into a performing arts center. But let’s include the visual arts too.

Nonprofit art associations like Evergreen Association of Fine Arts and Northwest Watercolor Society and myriad quilt guilds are always looking for affordable meeting space for groups of 25 to 250 and venues for their shows and workshops.

An arts center that serves both the artists and the public. This is my dream — for when I win the lottery.
